For some organizations, building in a 20-minute period for employees to nap OR meditate (no phones) can go a long way in increasing productivity, reducing stress and substantially increasing brain activity to power through the afternoon.
Break times not only encourage people to leave their offices, but to interact socially. Employees will look forward to break times, and may use that as a short term goal to finish projects or to further themselves on completion towards a deadline. During these interactions, healthy snacks are available, and a coach or counselor mingles in the crowd for quick questions, concerns or to make an appointment. There is no shame or embarrassment because employees want to feel safe, want to ensure their colleagues are healthy, and taking responsibility for their overall well-being. Employees encourage and hold each other accountable without superiority. Employees don’t feel judged or criticized for making different choices or wanting different things. People’s opinions are acknowledged and validated, not dismissed and ignored. Differences are celebrated, not tolerated. Organizations can encourage employees to enjoy the outdoors alone, without the use of technology. The employee can meditate, practice anxiety reduction techniques such as breathing exercises or other holistic healing practices. This time can be used for the employee to reflect or deepen their understanding of themselves and the world.

Modifying challenging behaviors through a set of stringent criteria for behavioral change can be implemented daily with multiple interventions, strategies and controls by a team of researchers, doctors and scientists. Individuals who can recognize red flags of problematic behavior, are the first source for an organization to become aware of a problem. This method of detection can be taught through a fraud awareness training. Preventative protocols show judges that your company is serious about installing procedural methods, training and wellness programs.
